Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve
Overview
Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve (Ninh Binh province) was gazetted in 2001 and claimed to be the largest wetland nature reserve in the Vietnamese Northern Delta. The natural land area is more than 3,500 hectare and consists of eleven ecosystems, the two major being the limestone forest and wetland ecosystems. The canals, lakes and streams wend through an island-like landscape of karst limestone mountains that harbor the only viable population of the Delacour Langur - one of the world’s most critically endangered species of primate.
Being the exclusive product of Magnolia Responsible Travel, Doi Ngo village located inside Van Long Natural Reserve and offered an unique community and sustainable experiences with local in the lush green of the mountains of the lagoon.
Our Journey
At 10.00, our guide will meet you at Van Long boat pier to take the bike and stroll around the mountain.
Start from her father’s dream of curing the daughter’s sensitive skin, Papa’s Dream is long known as a brand of organic soap and cosmetics using local ingredients, Dream Up Homestay - the house of the daughter is a stilt house by Van Long lagoon offers a chill atmosphere in Doi Ngo village. The homestay, thanks to the owner, long became a communal home for children in the village to play, learn and connect.

Continue to Thung La temple dedicated to the mother of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang, and listen to the story about his early life.
We then head to Ms. Phong’s orchard for a cooking experience of a Vietnamese dish: banh troi nuoc and enjoy your afternoon canape with tea and fruit.
It is possible to enjoy a herbal feet soaking before our biking back to Van Long boat pier and say goodbye to our tour guide. End of the services.
